Social Media Resource for Parents

Social-Locker-RoomMilton Academy is continuing its partnership with The Social Institute for the 2018-2019 school year. This partnership provides parents with free access to the Social Locker Room, a real-time digital resource that helps parents empower kids around social media and technology.

Inside the Social Locker Room, parents can find:

  • Breakdowns and strong privacy settings for popular social media platforms
  • Conversation guides for real life social media scenarios that kids face daily
  • Examples of how role models use social media and technology positively

Milton has invested in providing parents a free membership to the Social Locker Room for the 2018–2019 school year. We ask that you please not share the discount code with anyone outside of the School community.

Use the instructions listed below to redeem your free access either as a first-time user or as a returning user.

 

NEW SLR MEMBERS

  • Visit TheSocialInstitute.com and click ‘SIGN UP’ in the top right.
  • Scroll down slightly and click ‘SIGN UP’ in the pink box under ‘Join The Social Locker Room and help your child win at social media.’
  • Enter your info under ‘Enter your info below:’ select ‘School Pass’ under ‘Pick a Plan:’ and click ‘Continue.’
  • Under ‘Activate Your School Pass,’ enter the following discount code: MAsocial519
  • Upon entering the code and clicking ‘APPLY,’ the cost will adjust from $95/year to $0/year and you will not enter need to your credit card information.
  • Complete the checkout process and click ‘PLACE ORDER.’

RETURNING SLR MEMBERS (last year’s code expired July 15)

  • Visit TheSocialInstitute.com and click ‘LOG IN’ in the top right.
  • Type in your Username or Email Address and Password and click ‘Log In.’
  • On the next page, click ‘LOCKER LEVELS.’
  • Click ‘Select’ next to ‘School Pass.’
  • Under ‘Activate Your School Pass,’ enter the following discount code: MAsocial519
  • Upon entering the code and clicking ‘APPLY’, the cost will adjust from $95/year to $0/year and you will not need to enter your credit card information.
  • Complete the checkout process and click ‘PLACE ORDER.’
