Beginning July 1, SAGE Dining Services (www.sagedining.com) will oversee Milton Academy’s dining, catering and snack bar services. SAGE is a private, family-owned company that focuses on independent school dining. SAGE serves approximately 250 independent schools, including several schools in the area (e.g., Beaver Country Day School, Dexter Southfield, Roxbury Latin) and region (e.g., Blair Academy, Choate Rosemary Hall, Fay School, St. George’s School, Williston Northampton School). As part of our dining services bid process, Milton considered a variety of factors when evaluating several strong proposals, including the best possible food and options for the varying palates of K-12 children, a dedicated approach to managing food allergies and sensitivities, and technology that includes an app for students and parents to easily access comprehensive and up-to-date menu and nutritional information. As is typical in dining services transitions, current hourly employees will be offered an opportunity to continue on with SAGE, so we expect that students will see familiar faces in the fall.
