Welcome to Parents’ Weekend—October 18, 19 and 20! We hope you will take advantage of all that is offered. Attend classes with your child, meet one-on-one with teachers and advisors to discuss your child’s progress, and get to know other parents from your child’s class.
The Upper School Parents’ Association (USPA) hosts a number of events throughout the weekend especially for parents. We start off with a dinner or social for each class on Thursday evening. (Class II is on Saturday.) On Friday afternoon, from 4–5:30 p.m., join us for the ever-popular reception in RSG; there’s plenty of food and drink to help you unwind from your tough day of classes! On Saturday, from 11:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. in the ACC, there will be a USPA sports hospitality table serving hot drinks and cookies. Class II parents, your dinner is Saturday evening, to get you energized for the next day’s sessions—all you wanted to know about college but were afraid to ask!
USPA events are made possible by your generous contributions of time, funding and gifts. Thank you! If you’re interested in helping, there are many opportunities to do so. Please connect with a volunteer at one of the events, attend a meeting, or see our web page (under “Parents” on Milton website) for more information.

Also on Thursday evening at 7:45 p.m. – Milton Academy Jazz students will offer “A Celebration of South African Jazz” in King Theatre. The concert includes a musical tribute to Nelson Mandela on the 100th anniversary of his birth, and to Abdullah Ibrahim who first invited Milton jazz students to tour South Africa in 1991. All are welcome; come join the fun for this free event.
Friday, October 19:
4–5:30 p.m. – USPA Reception for all Upper School parents in the RSG
Saturday, October 20:
11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. – Hot drinks and cookies in the ACC
6:30 p.m. – Class II Parent Dinner in RSG
