The show must go on! The Performing Arts Department is planning a robust co-curricular season of shows this year including Shakespeare, contemporary plays, dance, and other original work. Students can perform, create, design, provide technical support, stage manage, choreograph, and compete on a nationally recognized speech and debate program. This fall, Milton continues the tradition of the Class IV production as well as two other plays for Classes I–III. Whether remote or in-person, we are committed to offering exciting performance experiences for all interested students.
Class IV Production
All Class IV students are invited to participate in the Class IV production. This longstanding Milton Academy tradition and fun show consists entirely of Class IV students; everyone in the class is welcome to participate, regardless of experience. The first meeting will be held virtually during the opening of school. Details about the show and meeting times will be shared at a later date. Fall Productions
In addition to the Class IV Production, there will be two fall productions open to all students in Classes I through III. No experience is necessary to audition. Technical Theater
All students in Classes I through IV are invited to participate in technical theater. The sign up for tech will begin during the opening of school. No experience necessary. More detailed information will follow in the coming weeks. Speech and Debate
Speech and Debate competitions are happening throughout this coming year and students are invited to audition for the Milton Academy Speech and Debate Team. We will be holding virtual auditions for all who are interested. These auditions will take place during the opening of school. Please look out for further notice about audition times. We will introduce students to the many speech and debate events while also providing audition materials based on their interests.
