Next week, The Social Institute will be on campus to work with Middle and Upper School students. The Institute’s approach is to empower teenagers to use social media in positive and constructive ways. Instead of focusing on what teens should not do, the focus is on how to use it to do good. They have worked with many schools, universities, teams and organizations to analyze social media use in the community and to educate teens about how they can be empowered through the digital world.

They will be on campus next Tuesday, February 20, and Wednesday, February 21, working with students in assemblies and small workshops. On Tuesday night, there will be a presentation for parents in Straus Library at 7 p.m.

The Social Institute is based in North Carolina and was founded by Duke University athlete and social media expert Laura Tierney.
